What sizes does my ThinTwin come in?
Bigger than you can shake a stick at, that's for sure. Here at ThinTwin, our motto is "go big or don't go at all". So we start at a healthy 24 inches (that's two full feet to you and me) and go all the way up to 72 (that's more than 6 feet tall--well ok--it's exactly 6 feet tall but that's still pretty gosh darn big). Just wait till you see it on your wall!

What is a ThinTwin made of?
Well, here at ThinTwin we believe that you could say they're made of one part love and two parts really cool gift idea sprinkled with a dash of passion for a quality product. However, the stuffed shirts in the research and development lab keep telling us it's a tough, durable and fade resistant vinyl. Hmphhhh.

What types of files can I upload?
You can upload files w/ the following file extensions: .JPEG, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, .PDF, .TIFF, and .EPS

What is the difference between a contour cut and a regular print job?
Contour cuts isolate the image and remove unwanted background parts of the photo.

Does a contour job cost more?
No. We charge the same low price for contour cut jobs as we do for reproductions of the entire image. This gives you the most flexibility to choose what’s right for you.

For what types of formats can I choose a contour cut?
The contour cut is available for reusable vinyl, laminated vinyl and Photo Tex products. We do not offer contour cutting for the glossy poster paper and canvas products.

Why is an accent border standard for the reusable vinyl and laminated vinyl products?
First off, we think it is way cool and really adds a bold look to the print. From a technical standpoint, for vinyl products the force of the cutting blade drives microscopic amounts of ink into the adhesive backing when cutting directly at the edge of the print (borderless contours). While in many cases borderless contour cutting holds up perfectly, in some cases the cutting process will result in slight curling of the edges of the print over time. You are free to choose either format, however, we cannot guarantee borderless contour cutting will be free from minor curling of the edges. Therefore, we make the accent line standard for our vinyl products (reusable vinyl and laminated vinyl).

Why is an accent border not standard for Photo Tex products?
The Photo Tex product is made from different materials than our vinyl products and reacts differently to the cutting process. This product is equally attractive and durable with or without the contour border.

How to Install It
How do you install a ThinTwin?
Does that really say install? Who thinks up these questions? No nails, hammers or tools are needed. A clean, dry wall with enough empty space is all you need. If you don't have a clean wall, a little warm water wash is all the prep you need. Don't use soaps or chemicals as these can impede the ThinTwin from clinging to the wall. If you don't clean your wall, that may also impede the ThinTwin from clinging to the wall!
Take your ThinTwin out, gently remove it and lay it flat and let it adjust to room temperature for a few minutes. Remove the protective backing. Starting from one corner, apply your ThinTwin to the painted wall and smooth out the air bubbles. Finally, sit back and marvel at your handi-work.

What kind of wall can I put my ThinTwin on?
Use a clean, dry wall. The kind your mother would be proud of. Definitely dust it off!
Do make sure the wall is painted, dry and smooth. It doesn't work with rough or pebbled surfaces.
Freshly painted walls should be avoided, especially those with a gloss or semi-gloss finish. These paints tend to have surface agents that reduce bond. A minimum 30 days cure time should be given. Also, please be aware that some paints are formulated with "dirt repellant" which contains permanent additives that may affect the adhesive bond.
Don't use harsh chemicals to clean the wall. This really upsets the boys in the lab, as it makes the ThinTwin lose its stick!

Will my ThinTwin cause damage to my wall?
Every ThinTwin is safe for walls. The super-high tech adhesive won't damage the paint or wallpaper (though certain types of wall paper are treated with a coating that won't allow the ThinTwin to stick). If your paint is cracking or peeling, your ThinTwin won't work so well. Perhaps a trip to Home Depot would work well first.
Disclaimer: ThinTwin is confident in the ability of our products to adhere without peeling or curling when applied to surfaces that are clean, dry and smooth. However, because of the many unknown and variable environments where the ThinTwin may be located, we cannot guarantee that under any and all circumstances the material will (1) stay completely intact; or (2) that no adhesive will remain on the surface after removal; or (3) that your surface will not adhere to the ThinTwin upon removal. Factors including: number of coats of paint, the use of primers, age and type of paint used, dirt on surface pre-application, surface texture, humidity and dampness and water exposure, and exposure to heat and/or sunlight all may influence the interaction of the ThinTwin material and the place of application.
For those unsure about the suitability of their walls, we suggest that you test a small, hidden area first. ThinTwin will not be responsible for any damages to your surface or workmanship of material due to these circumstances.

Should I save the backing to my ThinTwin?
Hey, I'm a pack rat by nature. So I say save it. If you ever move or need to transport your ThinTwin, it comes in real handy. If you are not the saving type or already threw away the backing before reading this, try wax paper.

How do I remove my ThinTwin?
To remove your ThinTwin, gently peel from top to bottom preferably removing the decal at a 120 degree angle or greater using a smooth, consistent force. Never pull rapidly with excessive force as this can damage the ThinTwin or your wall surface.

Seriously though, we work as fast as we can to get it out the door. Currently, there is a 5-7 business day turnaround time from when we receive the order.
