Depending on the size of your ThinTwin, you may want to have two people do the installation. This makes for an easier installation. And besides, it’s always more fun with someone else.

Step 1: Remove your ThinTwin from its incubator tube and fully unroll it on a flat surface. For best results, you’ll want your ThinTwin to be free from the curling that occurred during shipment and warmed up. Let your ThinTwin stretch its legs for 30 to 45 minutes so that it can get to room temperature. This gives the material time to gain the proper flexibility for installation. For a vinyl ThinTwin, we recommend 70 degrees or above for installations. The indoor/outdoor Photo Tex can be installed at lower temperatures. |

Step 2: Select an area to display your print. Before you begin, it is always best to make sure that you have enough wall space to display your print. And remember, your ThinTwin needs a smooth dry surface. Stucco, plaster, brick and block surfaces are not good places to display your ThinTwin. |

Step 3: Using ONLY A TOWEL DAMPENED WITH WATER, clean the wall surface where you will apply your ThinTwin. Remember to use ONLY WATER to remove any dust or residue from your wall. Your ThinTwin will be damaged by the chemicals in soaps and cleaning products. |

Step 4: Let your wall completely dry. If the wall is damp, your ThinTwin will not attach correctly and may be damaged. |

Step 5: Gently remove your ThinTwin from the waxy paper backing that it was born on. Try to avoid touching the edges if possible. This will help to maintain maximum sticking power. Be especially careful when peeling back any of the nooks and crannies to prevent possible tearing of the materials. |

Step 6: Apply your ThinTwin to its new home. If your ThinTwin is taller than it is wide, then start applying from the top and work your way down. If it’s wider than it is tall, then work from left to right. I know these are way cool and all, but try to work slowly here. If your ThinTwin happens to stick to itself, don’t panic. Simply slowly peel it apart using gentle pressure. If the print is misaligned you can always peel that area slightly back off the wall and reapply. |

Step 7: Using the enclosed squeegee, gently smooth out any air bubbles that may be in your print. Begin at the center of your ThinTwin and run the squeegee outward, making sure to pass over the edges to ensure they are in contact with the wall. Make sure to apply gentle pressure so you don’t scratch the surface of your ThinTwin. |

Step 8: Replace the waxy backing and squeegee back in the tube. This will come in handy should your ThinTwin ever need to relocate. |

To remove your ThinTwin Gently peel from top to bottom preferably removing the decal at a 120 degree angle or greater using a smooth, consistent force. Never pull rapidly or with excessive force as this can damage the ThinTwin or your wall surface. |
